"Thank you for holding. You are very important to us..." Sure we are...
Maybe I got my hopes up when many companies started having "Chat online" option with customer support. You might think "OOooh, I will never have to wait on the phone for 2 hours ever again..." But you are, again, wrong. We still have to wait online for the "next available agent". The experience is not pleasant either, if not more unpleasant. You don't hear any music, or the nice lady assuring you "We will be with you momentarily." and made you felt all special. All you see online is "You are #257 in queue. Please wait and a customer support agent will be with you shortly". Shortly is another word for "keep waiting, dumbass". That is why that you don't hear them say "An agent will be with you in approximately 45 minutes...". Now days, you just get a general term "Shortly" ,or "Soon" ,or "Momentarily". Because then you can't sue them for saying "The nice lady told me that I will talk to the agent in 45 minutes!!! You f***ing lier!!!"
