PS3 Motion Controller...wait, isn't that a magic wand from Sailor Moon???

Not trying to be hateful...but what the hell?????  Did Sony pay some 12 year-old girl to design this controller???  Is that a way to save money in this economy?????  A glowing ball on the controller, who in the right mind is going to buy that???
