Relax and enjoy a nice cup of red wine...and its good for you!

So most of us have heard that red wine is actually good for the human body, but not everyone knows why.  There has been many studies reporting the benefits of red wine to human's cardiovascular systems.  Resveratrol and flavonoids are the main players in the studies.  Resveratrol has found with the effects of increasing the HDL cholesterol (aka good cholesterol) and prevent clotting.  HDL, or high density lipoprotein cholesterol is the main force that help moving lipids (or fats) out of our blood and into the proper organ to be processed.  Therefore, it is very important to maintain a good level of HDL cholesterolResveratrol, in many studies, have shown to increase HDL cholesterol, therefore aid in disposing the lipids in the bloodstreams to avoid clotting.  A clotted blood vessel will not be able to transport the vital nutrients and molecules to the targeted cells, therefore may cause dying of the targeted cells since the cells were not receiving proper nourishment.  If the clotted blood vessels are in the brain, then a stroke occurs.  If the clotted blood vessels are in the heart, then a heart attack occur.
