It is just too obvious as a patent infringement. The picture was from an Acer laptop. Multi-Gesture touchpad has long been used by Apple computers. So, let us just wait patiently for the next lawsuit of Acer vs. Apple.
The funny thing is, Apple was sued by Elan Microelectronics over the multi-touch technology. I was not able to find a conclusion regarding the lawsuit, which took place in March 30th, 2010. However, Apple is currently in another lawsuit against Motorola, also on multi-touch technology. AND(not over yet), Apple sued HTC earlier on the same matter, and HTC sued back. If Apple does decide to sue Acer, it will be Apple vs. Elan Microelectronics, HTC, Motorola, and Acer. Messy...
The chances of the latter four companies working together? Who knows....
