So apparently, holding the shopping basket in a supermarket became such a painful task that someone had to invent basket with a pulling handle and wheels. The fact that people already tried to park as close as possible to the supermarket, so they can walk as little as possible already amazes me, but now there are pull baskets. When I shop for myself, I usually get the basket. I will just hold them, but they can get heavy sometimes, depends on what I buy. But the weight from the baskets is actually considered as "free weights", such as dumbbells. So as I am holding the basket that weighs around 10 - 15 lbs, I am unknowingly strengthening my bones. But who wants to hold the basket when you can just pull it with ease??? Yes, thanks to the kind and smart designer, people no longer get the possible beneficial strength exercise that they may get during a routine trip to a supermarket!! Better yet, now supermarkets will deliver your foods right to your door. People don't even need to leave their couch while watching Oprah and wishing to be the lucky audience to get Oprah's favorite things.
No wonder other countries hate Americans. Why wouldn't they?
Where is this place? That's a genius idea, considering shopping carts are too big, and those smaller baskets can be a pain sometimes! I would like having that option available when I'm shopping. But, as you say, strengthening muscles and bones is also a nice benefit of shopping with a carry-only basket.
